Social Groups

Boy Scouts

Boys between the ages of 10 and 18 are welcome to participate in the troop sponsored by the DC Men's Club. The Scouts participate in many activities, including camping, merit badge work and community service projects. The major fundraiser for the Boy Scouts is the annual Pancake Breakfast held in the Divine Child High School Cafeteria. The troop is very active and meets on Wednesdays at 7 PM at Haigh Elementary School on Silvery Lane.

Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 1151 is one of the longest-running organizations in the parish. Sponsored by the Divine Child Men's Club for over 50 years, this Cub Scout pack has provided friendship, guidance, camping and just plain fun for young boys between the ages of 6 and 11.

The Cub Scout pack meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the Elementary School Cafeteria at 6:30 PM. Our primary fundraiser, a popcorn sale in October, has offered the Scouts an opportunity to help themselves by funding pack meetings, camping trips, and annual events like the Pinewood Derby, Winter Klondike and Blue & Gold banquet. Many of the Cub Scouts receive both the "Light of Christ" and "Parvuli Dei" Christian awards, which give the young scout an opportunity to reinforce his spiritual life through Christian awareness. A special rally night for first through fifth graders is held in September of each year, but you are welcomed to join the fun and activities at any time during the year!
